Male Clown Swimming weird

    Could be a swim bladder issue. If the swim bladder is messed up they can't swim normally.

    ill see if the lfs has them next time i go, if i do end up with eggs is it possible for them to live in the reef with the others or are they just going to be fish food if i dont have a separate tank

    its weird ive had the clowns for like 5 months and he just now starts doing this :( hopefully he'll snapp out of it soon

    Does his stomach look bloated or anything?

    They would be better off being separated or even the clowns might try to eat them. It really sounds like they are mating, could you get a video of them swimming like that?

    Amen to that! You can't micro manage the tank so much. The male probably got a "thrashing" from the female. Males will sometimes go to "detention" after PO'ing the female. Can last for a few days.

    i can try he's left the corner now and seems to finally be swimming somewhat normal, hopefully its breeding or him just being weird
    i hope so, or breeding will be pretty cool, dont think id be able to save teh babies though
    he has improved a little bit now, but before i left for work he looked like he was barely even swimming, not and was just facing straight downards or upwards like the pic
    hahaha maybe that too :lol:
