When my bro lived in Ft Walton Beach, we use to catch hammerheads off the beach night fishing. Never caught one that big though, haha.

I once caught a 6 feet nurse shark offshore on my boat, boy can they pull. Id imagine this guy could not fell his arms after catching that one. I would stay away from that beach :laughings

We were catching babies, 2-3 footers. Caught a 4ft skate and didnt know wtf it was. Oddest looking thing we ever saw, but that was before I got into saltwater aquariums.

In 1972 I caught a 13' hammerhead estimated at 610 pounds from the beach on ocracoke island in N.C.$ hours to land it and released alive.

Not only impressive that you hauled that in, but that you released it alive. Karma to ya.
