So I've had a mandarin for about 6 months or so now, and he's doing great! (I even moved and he did just great!) (I was crazy careful about everything though)
Now I'm thinking of getting a blenny, would they be ok together? They easy mostly algae right? Do they eat copepods at all? I don't wanna get one just to have him starve my beautiful mandarin...

my initial thought as far as temperament would be that they should be fine. more information is definitely needed though to assist ^^

Definitely need the more info. If it's a lawnmower blenny they can become aggressive buggers. I had one that got quite fat and large and was a bully......until my sohal came home;)

Blennys and gobies typically don't coexist too well but need answers to the above questions to help.

Not sure what type of blenny yet (suggestions?) Something that will take care of a decent amount of algae.
And it's a 55gal, with a TON of live rock. It's very pourous, and I've found many spots to pile up some rubble, so there's plenty of safe space for pods to grow.

Just the typical algae, and I've noticed a little hair algae(I've stated running gfo. And upped my skimming)
what are u supposed to feed pods? Phyto? No, I haven't been, I only use one additive, FUEL, and I've had no issues with my mandarin at all...

I've successfully kept a mandarin and a Starry Blenny together for the past couple years in a 75 gallon with no issues. I had the mandarin for a year prior to adding the blenny, and my tank is about 5 years old. I don't add pods or feed the population living in my sump, though I am lucky enough to have a mandarin that eats frozen food voraciously. But, like others said, I'm sure it depends on the temperament and appetite of each individual fish. :)
