BTW I should mention that unless you have substantial experience with fish in general and a dedication to the fish' overall health you shouldnt attempt this. A mandarin will require a great deal of time and effort to get him eating prepared foods.

Of course this hobby requires a lot of time, patience, and money
and i'm very dedicated to it
Although id love to hear others opinions on such topics
I have heard many people that were able to sustain a gobi in a nano tank
but as of right now im probably going to wait

Are there any fish you guys would recommend that would fit right in my tank ?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Speaking for myself only, the vast majority perish, the success of keeping them should be judged in long term survival.

When they stop collecting wild ones and the captive breed ones show a better success rate I may change my stance on the issue.

But for now I strongly discourage the practice of attempting to keep this fish unless you have a couple years under your belt of SW keeping and or a tank designed to meet the needs of the mandarin.

Madam if you check my post immediatley after the above I totally agree with you. Dedication and patience are key. I also agree tank raised dragonettes are a better choice.
