I have 175 gallon reef. I have a Male Mandarin goby. Very well established pods colony. I would like to add a target goby. I can't find anything on how many can inhabit a aquarium. :huh2::huh2:
    Any thoughts?

Honestly if it were me I would stick to just one but that's just me. You do have a rather large tank and from what you said sounds like it is an established tank and pod population but adding another mandarin they are obviously going to compete for the same food source which will make the pod population dwindle quicker. We all know how mandarins like to mow through pods. It might be somewhat risky adding another. Hopefully someone that has maybe done this before can chime in

Yes. I have a 105 tank full of pods and a fat target mandarin (male). I added a female green mandarin and the target ripped it to shreds. (I'm sorry, green mandarin. :( )

Yep, as Helen has witnessed, they can be highly aggressive toward other mandarins. A mated pair introduced at the same time is your safest option for keeping more than one.
