I would like to thank the members of this thread who shared info in such a mature (and helpful) way. That's what being a 3Reefer is all about.

Heck, when I saw the title to the thread I thought to myself, "Well Great!!! I'm going to have to go into this thread and send PM's, edit posts, etc." Well, luckily I didn't have to do anything because you all self-moderated.

ok, let me clarify a bit here too, i want to be forthwright in what s going on, i wrote that late last night on my ipad and its not fun to do long blogs on it.

the phyto is more for the fire scallop i have, but hit hides so much, taget feeding is near impossible, so i just throw about 8ml in a day, all the fish go crazy over it, and the madarin will follow that stream in the water colum till it disapates.
then 8 ml of reef snow, my god, that is like fishy crack, they frenzy when it goes in.
every third day, 10ml of seachem reef additive for the corals

the daily feeding routine is, i have a container in the fridge, i put tank water in it, about 3 cups, i toss in, 4 cubes of brine, 4 cubes of cyclops, 4 cubes of reef cavier, this keeps it more readily on hand and thawed, that lasts a week, it keeps the kids from over feeding, 2 tablespoons of the chum in the morn 2 in the evening. suplement with some seaweed stuff hung on a clip in the morn.

the tank is a 75, about 75 lbs of live rock, shallow sand bed, 2 hob filters, one aquaclear 110 and a marine land bio wheel thing, hob skimmer, 18 all in one sterilizer, 2 coralia #2's, (i gots flow)

i use 10ml of vodka (stoli) a day, skimmer produces quite well

that goby is constantly pecking at the rocks, so i guess he's getting what he needs
like i said, had him awhile and he seems to be doing great
this tank is 4 months old, my water parameters are constantly in range
i do 10 gal water changes bi weekly with ro/di premix from a very reputable lfs
who uses a 3 part salt mix? not sure of the name, its liquid i believe, ill see him this weekend
and ask him, steves been doin it for 25+ years and has an amazing following, he has living room furniture in his store to hang and BS and coffe always on and a fridge with drinks, its like a sunday social club. lol

    the fish are as follows:
    pink spotted watchman gobi
    2 clowns, a orange and a black
    hippo tang
    yellow tang
    lawn mower blenny
    long nosed hawkfish
    2 chromis
    purple flame pipe fish
    6 line wrasse
    1 pajama fish
    mandarin goby

    inverts:
arrow crab (by far the coolest crab around)
    red banded shrimp
    blood shrimp
    green crab
    green brittle star
    blue linckia star
    scarlet leg hermit
    fire scallop

    coral:
    4 feather dusters
    ceranthidae (purple worm anenomoe
    candy coral
    pagoda cup
    gorgonian
    ricordia
    hairy mushroom
    kenya tree
    red sponge

    heres a pic of gobezilla
