Is there any way you can hook up a larger fuge as a longer term solution? Honestly 10 gallons isn't very big.

Just as a glimmer of hope, my mandarin eats live brine and will occasionally chomp cyclop-eeze. Gut loaded brine and pods are his staple foods.
He is doing really amazingly, really.

You could try some live brine.

Mine took about 30 minutes to even acknowledge that they were even there. He then cocked his head to the side and plucked one up. He was so excited with the hunt!!!! It was really amazing to watch.

Honestly i'd take her back to a lfs, just so she doesn't die. You tried, i'd try again in a year. Are you sure she wont eat frozen? have u tried mixing frozen with fish roe? I've heard that works.

We were worried about ours but then one day it decided it liked frozen mysis, go figure.

I have a pod setup.....my fuge which is litterally infested. i just have to get a little more creative on how to get the pods from the fuge to the display. I'm going to add a huge hunk of chaeto into the return section with the hopes that pods in their free swimming stage will make it the the display.

I will def have to get some live brine...I tried frozen but no go.

Its a 20 long, the fuge portion (where my macro grows and pods infest) is the middle portion of the 20 long that is about 10gallons. A 20L is the largest size I can fit below my tank.

I have cyclopeze and live brine on my list of things to get. I will also be moving some of my chaeto from fuge chamber to return chamber frequently. I am also going to setup some taller rubble mounds in the display. I am also going to give the mandarin diner another go with a bigger jar and some fish eggs. She hasn't eaten the eggs in the past and the last mandarin diner I set up was with formula one pellets.

I have had her for 4 months. There is nothing the LFS can do but watch her die for me. I would rather know that I did everything I could to keep her alive instead of depending on a LFS to give a crap. I will give some frozen mysis another go tonight too.

I would think that the fish would have a better chance in his tank than in a sterile, podless LFS tank.

well u can put the mandrin in the fuge for a bit 10g is enough for it til she/he is fat then move her /him back to the display after u order some live pods i kno how hard it is to catch a fish but if it was my mandrin starving i would tear it apart just to catch her/him and dump he/she in the fuge ............. www.livecopepods.com .........

I think so too ... unless you have another hobbiest, or a friend that can support her for a while until your pod population replenishes.
