Another suggestion that may get it eat is to try live brine but shut all pumps off and use a turkey baster to get as close as possible without freaking out the fish. I used that method on a scooter a few yeas back and once it started to eat, it then began to eat frozen as well. Not a guarantee but worth a try I guess!

Definitely. I learned that mine was looking for the movement. He stared at the same brine for like 10 minutes and plopped it up. As I said, once they try their first they get excited and it's just too cool to watch!

I hope thats the case with mine. I'm planning on picking up some live brine tonight. I'll shut off the pumps and gently squirt it into her rock rubble that she persistantly picks at.

Good luck, man! I'll be hoping for ya at feeding time. I'll tell my little guy to show yours how it's done, LOL.

Since adult brine shrimp don't have much nutritional value, you might want to gut load them before feeding the fish.

Now I'm wondering what mine is...... I have no idea. Mines a green mandarin....

Now, even though I posted it, I can't see it from work, just dropped in the link between img tags. Let me know if that's the mandarin one, LMAO.

yep...there is a clown and a mandarin....mandarin is going down a tunnel and clown is following....can't see too much of the mandarin except a piece of his back.
I'm pretty sure I can provide better care than a LFS. I would never buy a fish with the intention of returning it. I have a pod tank.....my fuge. I'm also sure that having purchased a fish 4 months ago....I won't be able to "return" him. I could probably sell it back to the fish store for $5-$10, but like i said, I would rather know that I tried. Selling to a fish store is giving up and basically sacrificing the fish. I have come up with a long term plan for this one. He should be ok. Updates and more pics to come.
