Reading another reefers post on the Manderin got me wondering. My 40 gallon refugium is just loaded with pods. I had 2 Manderins when my tank was relitivly young, with no luck. My scooter blenny is thriving, as i've had him for about 8 months.
How can i be sure these pods are making it into my tank? I use a Rio 2100 pump in my refugium. I think i read somewhere on here where someone said to remove something from the pump to get the pods into the tank, i'm not sure. This month is 1 year that my tank has been set up.
I don't want to buy another, only to have him die. Please help.

You cannot "seed" a system with those. They are a cold water species and will die off.

You can always set up a seperate system for cultivating pods. Or just stick a few kitchen sponges in your fuge. The pods will gather on the sponge for shelter. When the sponges become loaded, just take them out of the fuge and give them a good shaking in the display after the lights have been off for a bit.

If you put in a kitchen sponge, THOROUGHLY was it, because they are often shipped with soap in them or better yet buy a brand shipped without soap. I don't know of any but I'm sure you can find one.
