I really want to do a Mandarin. I was thinking of putting it in my refugium. Its a 20 gallon external fuge its been set up on my tank for about 3 weeks now. My tank its on has been setup for over a year, but I dont want to put the Mandarin in my main setup. I have a monster engineer goby in my main tank and he is pretty territorial of the bottom of the tank. I do see a lot of life teeming in my fuge but I am still thinking it needs to be setup longer?

It will have no chance long term in a fuge. Every single pod in there would be gone in about a day

No way I cant afford to add pods everyday. That one Mandarin would cost me more to feed then all my dog, cat, 40 reptiles, and 2 parrots would cost all year together. I will pass on the mandarin, cool fish but not that cool!!!:cheesy:

i have a ATS and it naturally creates millions of pods, i even have to wash the scrubber with RO water to kill pods to prevent them from eating algae...
