Oh noez. I have been really trying to keep this fish. He has been doing really well. I have been dosing the tank with copepods and see him even eating brine shrimp. Well my lights just shut off and I see him floating around the top of the tank. My levels are solid so not sure what is going on? Is he on his way out? My daughter will be heartbroken. He is lethargic and his tail is cruled.. I was warned about this fish but thought I could handle it. Thoughts?

that mandarin will not survive in your 26G.. they need to be eating 24/7 and needs about 100+ pounds of liverock with a refugium...

Where you buying copepods or were you making them. Sorry to hear! I think the mandarin is a cool fish. I wish I was at the level where I could have one. One day I hope I can.

So do you guys think he is on the way out? I made a decision based on what the LFS guy told me and he said the mandarin would do really well in my tank. I pulled the trigger before i did my research. Stupid rash decision and I feel really bad about it cause the fish may not make it.
