Check with you Dept of Ag on importing regs, you may not be able to import them w/o some type of certificate. As far as people whom sell them, try this page:

Thats a link to their distributers pages of which they have 1 in the UK. Maybe that distributer can turn you on to one of their UK customers. Good luck, and get red mangroves, they're eaiser to care for IMO.

I seem to recall some guy on eBay from Hawaii that pushed Mangroves too.

Thanks guys, I followed your link Gresham and a few referrals down the road I found a store in the UK and now have a red mangrove in my mud filter.
Quick question though, I have been leaving the light on 24 seven for some calerpa that I have in there, do you know if this will be a problem for the mangrove ?

I used Google and did a search for aquarium plants and found a "crap load" of places where you can purchase them. They are a little pricey but I understand they do a good job.

Glad to hear that worked for youi.
I wouldn't leave it on 24/7 for them, I'd give them some night time. I had mine on for 18 hours a day for a long time, my friends all use a 14 on fot theirs. I dose with iron/manganese supplement for added growth.

We just bought some off of ebay from a guy in Hawaii. They arrived in good condition. $17.99 for 10 plants including s&h. Best deal that i found.

i'm thinking of getting mangroves but if I put them so there floating on top of my fuge my light thats sitting on top wouldn't illuminate them. Can u help me? Do they have to have that much light. My main tank light might be bright enough when it's on for about 8 hrs.My fuge is right below it to the side.
