    I agree luna does know his mangroves. I have 60 in my sump all rooted in. They even have little spikes coming out of the roots so I know they ae doing well. There are still no leaves but the roots are growing like mad.

    where I live is mangrove heaven. I thought about grabbing some but the chaeto in my fuge works great. so didn't want mess with it. I think I still might do it.

    Well I stuck about ten in the fuge the other day after starting this thread. They seem to be doing fine so far. Only problem I'm having is that since my sandbed is so shallow I notice one or two floating at the surface every once in a while. So I've been trying to wedge them between/under rocks. That and I had to cut back a bunch of my chaeto so some light would get to them.

    You should have leaves by now, what K spectrum are you using?

    mine all rooted out and now the leafs are starting to grow!

    I'm in the process of constructing a refugium. I threw 17 mangrove seeds into my return area of my wet dry and added a clip on light (40 watt daylight pc). Is this good enough for now. There is no sandbed, just the pump and heater.
