    Drew3 i wasnt making fun of you dont worry. and just keep feeding it. i would rather have a happy fed Miss Mantee than a dead one...

    I just read that they can go 2-3 weeks without a meal..so the 3 days I went was nothing. I'm going to go a week hopefully I'll hear some smackin one day.

    everytime i think of these mantis shrimps killing something i hear bruce buffer saying "WELCOME TO THE OCTAGON! THIS WILL BE A 3 ROUND FIGHT..."

    How big is he? Has he recently molted? If he has recently molted his rapts may not be hard enough for a full power strike. In which case he would accept soft foods but he wouldn't go hunting. The larger he is the longer it will take to recover from a molt.

    If he hasn't recently molted is he striking anything? If he is banging on his den all day long I wouldn't worry about him eating live.

    Yeah I hear him smacking in his den every now and then. He is around 2 inches long and I hasn't molted since I have had him. He also smacks the feeder stick if I move it close to him lol

    Well when I cook lobsters & crabs the seasoning gets into them.. ;D
