According to this site no..it recommends a 20 gallon. But they only get around 4 inches so honestly I think it'd be fine in a 10..i'm no mantis expert though. The site I listed earlier is an awesome reference for just about any mantis you could think of.

Hey man, good to hear you have ternatensis too. Mine loves any raw seafood, I went to the grocery store and got a bag of mixed seafood. It has octopus, squid, mussles and shimp he seems to love all of it. Also, has your guy gone into "construction mode" yet?

Oh yeah here's a pic of him today peering out. This guy has decimated my population of astrea snails, he uses their shells for decorations in his house, I have to re-up with snails at least 20 each 3-4 months and I still feed him other food!

He has done quite a bit of construction..I have a piece of LR the size of a softball with a hole going through it and he has chipped out a big den inside of there. He's also quite the decorator. He planted 3 xenia polyps and some caulpera all around his "front door". Is your lighting all actinic as well?

    Regular 10 gallon.....No
However, if you have one of the various types of nano tanks with the curved glass in the 10 gallon range, that would be fine. That curved glass is much thicker and stronger.

It's a spearer though so I figured the glass strength wouldn't be a problem
