    I have several old snail shells in his tank. One evening he wacked on one of them for 30 min or more. He got so tired that he was sitting up on his tail taking breaks. LOL I had already fed him and I knew there was not anything in the old shell, so I just figured he was playing. I'm sure by now you all know where this is going. .....

    Oh, can anyone ID him ?



    Back when I got him the LFS guy said he was a peacock (WRONG).

    Look like an O. Havanensis to me. Good looking, active one at that.;D

    Doesn't appear to be an O. havanensis as it seems to be lacking the red spot on the A1 scale.

    My guess is G. chiragra just going off color pattern and the frequency they are sold as "peacocks." Also the relentless pursuit to kill the stometella (?) in the shell even after being fed fits.

    Thank you all, This is just the short version. Well, if he is a Tiger Mantis I named him right. These are truely the most amazeing creatures.
