mantis question?!

    N. wennerae are sweet no doubt about it but I would keep the O. japonicus if you have a tank large and strong enough. They are a rarer species and something you don't see everyday.

    yeah i will end up keeping her and gettin another in my 15 gallon tank once i upgrade. i am hoping i get my girl a 50 gallon tank cause a 70 would be huge for just her. but i am gonna put MH over the tank im thinking a 250 Watt or 2 150 watt lights.

    50 is going to be huge as well. MH are not good lighting for most mantises. Your species generally lives 100 feet below the surface of the water. At that depth light is very blue and rather dim. Using low light and only actinics will help avoid shell rot disease.

    N. wennerae similar species can survive under full spectrum bright light, however I have noticed my mantis is less active with brighter lighting.

    oh i didnt know that. okay well then i will get a fixture with all actinics then? what would you recommend?
