I'm planning out a reef safe mantis tank. It's an extremely small tank (5usg). I'm looking for a N. Wennarae or a similar small smasher. (3 inches max growth) Im thinking softies, I have a Xenia or Anthelia that fragged itself, a mushroom, and maybe some zoanthids. Thoughts? Suggestions? I'd like to spend as little as possible and no non-photosynthetic corals please.

Mantis and corals can be a tricky proposition because of the Mantis building habits. They tend to like to move rocks and sand around alot. However I would probably add the Mantis first. Allow it to build its home then add a few softies. While the smaller Mantis are not as pretty as some off the larger ones they are still fascinating.
