Mantis shrimp brought back memorys....

i when fishing the other day and bought some live bait. after a few hours on the surf and figured its time to pack up and just release the rest of the shrimp. while digging in the bucket i saw 2 odd looking shrimp. i picked one up and found out it was a mantis shrimp! the clubbing kind. the picked up the other one and it was the same but the claw type. i immediately wanted to take one home with me. then i looked at my wallet and remembered why i had to take my tank down in the first place.

 

One of my brothers has a good-sized boat that was recently boarded by DFG when he returned from a fishing trip. Without asking or warning, the agent plunged his hands into the live bait tank, and got REALLY PO'd when my brother told him to be careful cuz there were a couple of mantis shrimp in the tank.

Nobody asked the guy to go fishing around in the bait tank...
