So here is my situation, I have 90 gal DT and a 55 gal Sump. In the DT all I have is the Wrasse and the Trigger. In the sump I have my Mantis Shrimp and the Clown. I want to put them all in the DT together so that I can free up space in the sump for a cleanup crew.

Will it work? My biggest worry is the Wrasse going after the Mantis Shrimp as he is pretty aggressive. I don't think my Mantis Shrimp will be a threat, as he and the Clown seem to get along fine and are always pretty close to each other.

I would do a re-scape before putting all of them together and have a rubble pile for the Mantis Shrimp in one of the corners. I just want to make sure everybody will play nice .

IMHO/IME, that's an accident waiting to happen. As it is, your clownfish doesn't have a "pass", your mantis most likely hasn't been hungry enuff to bother.

IMO the Mantis won't last 2 seconds with that trigger in there. :(

    Thanks for your input.

Very rarely have I seen my Niger show any aggression, even towards the small number of snails or hermits I have put in the DT. It's always the Wrasse. But the Trig does pose a threat, I don't think he is quite big enough yet.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You're playing with fire with the Niger and the shrimp. You will know the Trigger is big enough when he eats the Mantis or attempts to at a smaller size then you thought possible. Nature of the fish/beast.

Yeah, the niger and the wrasse would tear him apart. Nigers can be great candidates for even reef tanks but putting any type of living thing in their tank after they get situated is just asking for bloody water (though it really wouldn't be bloody)

Here's a good video that explains what I mean.
