mantis shrimp tank mates

    Actually all fish can twitch, most just don't.

    What kind of setup/aquascaping do they require? Are Mantis coral safe? See all these threads and videos on youtube makes me think about turning my sons 20gal guppy tank into a mantis tank lol he would think it was cool also.

    I would say mantis are "partially reef safe" They will eat any shrimp, snails, crabs etc.... however they will not eat corals. With that said they love to redecorate and will move your "perfectly" set up corals all over, sometimes burying them. I would also say they can not be kept with SPS corals....the lighting will be too much on them. They require T5 or PC lights only

    bert has two small turbo snails he leaves alone in his tank hermits are not so fortunate. i cant speak for corals as i havent tried and yet i do plan on getting some soon for all my tanks though.including berts.
