    I was bored this saturday morning. So I whipped together this mantis video of my little n. wennerae. He's only about 3/4" long...I got him last weekend.

    Sorry, no video of him attacking anything yet. He's still pretty shy. But at least he's well fed :D

    Yeah he's getting over the shy part. I'm thinking it's simply because he's rather small and has only been in there for a week. Apparently stepho's N. Wennerae took quite a while to warm up enough to swim around the tank and such. But his little peepers are always sticking out of his den when he's not deep inside doing heaven knows what.

    I'm hoping when he gets into the 2" to 3" size range he'll do all of his mantis things outside of the rocks. Soon he won't be able to fit into those little holes in the rocks, so he'll have to anyways :D

    I wish I knew the growth rate of these things...
