    well, I'm not a monster, so I was quite careful. I know that there was part of one of his arms missing (already when I got it).
    It looks like quite a bit is missing. Probably seems that way because I can see him better ;)

    Hoodoo, Stars will regenerate their missing appendages, so no worries.  

    Be very careful with your bare hands as a true mantis can deliver a very nasty blow with it's club or spear.  Always wear gloves to minimze the risk and possible infection.

    Sounds like a wet suit may be in order for you!

    Just as a little mention you do want to watch the Brittle Star and the clown. If the clown is an inch or better no problem, if it is smaller: the star has an appetite for small fish. I speak from experience. When I bought my clowns, I bought three and now there is two, and the star is back at the LFS. ;)
