    I am looking at the Nova Extreme Pro Fixture. In the material it says to use with a glass top, that it is not designed for an open top. Anyone have a comment on this assuring me it is ok to do or else list a fixture that can stand on legs over an open tank?

    I'd say it is not necessary to have the glass cover. It could be something they have to state to meet government code
