I bought a 48'' Maristar Fixture from a friend who had the leg mount brackets on it. I want to hang it but if I did I would have this ugly leg piece hanging too! I have tried calling reefgeek who checked with the manufacture and they said they do not sell the end cap piece I need and I have tried calling the manufacture but they will not except my call because I am not a business they supply to and need to contact a retail business.

    That is what I need.

There you can see the legs come down further than before.
Any suggestions on how or where to get one?
Pictures where found online but same fixture as mine.

How about just cutting off the legs and painting the cat portion to prevent rusting if it is metal.

Sawzall, file any edges, paint. That would be my fix for that. Not saying it's the right approach but thats how I'd handle it.

That will be the plan. The manufacture gave me a call back today and is checking with some people and hopefully I will know soon. If not saw sand and paint!

That is great that they called you back. Sunlight supply is a huge company unlike many of the companies in our hobby. Since these fixtures are made in the USA, I hope they can get you the parts you need. Only downside is that this fixture may no longer be in production as I know they are developing the Maristar II!

I'm confused. Unless Sunlight Supply changed the design, all you should need to do is unscrew 4 screws to remove the legs.

It used to be. You would buy the hanging kit or a leg kit when you bought the light. Maybe they've changed things.
