    Absolutely breathtaking. It must be the off season for tourists though because it's pretty deserted for "the most popular beach in Trinidad?"

    it kinda is the off season and school had restarted. it was also a Tuesday. if you go on a weekend, public holiday or during the vacation u wont be able to walk around freely. i really prefer the empty beach. this is one of my favorite places to go.

    it got kinda busy later on though.

    I'm not sure that I'd be brave enough to swim in that water. I know what's in there! :lol: I spent 2 weeks in Cairns Australia several years ago and the only swimming I did was in a pool :D

    well i haven't ever heard of anyone being attacked by anything at maracas. at any beach in t'dad for that matter. we don't have much sharks. all i've ever seen were nurse sharks, black tips,lemon sharks and some very small hammer heads. i was on a boat very far off shore for most of them. so nothing to worry about.
    i can understand not wanting to swim in Australia though, nearly every show about sharks has some part of it filmed in aus.,not to mention saltwater crocs and everything else they have there.
