A lot of people disprove of Marc Weiss selling nothing but "crap" or "snake oil." But I have heard some interesting feedback from different reefers that beg to differ. I think you should try it and let us know!

I've used it in a 65 that had terrible hair algae. IT takes 2 doses I believe and takes a couple of weeks to see results. It did work. hair algae completely cleared within a month. Brown diatom didn't do much for, water changes took care of that and keeping up on maint. kept the hair algae at bay. Worked for me, though I have heard neg. also. Also took care of a red fuzzy algae on sand and on rock.

I googled this product and it brought me back to here. I've been sort of neglecting the tank and it has green hair algae and lots of what I assume is brown diatoms all over the rock and sand. Starting to harm some of the corals so I'm thinking about giving this product a shot from a recommendation.

I've used it, with no effect at all. Has a very odd dosing schedule as well that makes me weary and question it.

Ultimately, there is no substitute or quick fix for water changes and removal of phosphates/nitrates when it comes to algae removal.

You said you've been neglecting your tank for a while- Just start putting some care back into it, and sure enough, the algae will make its way out, the same way it made its way in (albeit a bit slower however).

I'm interested to know how this product worked out for you. I'm in the mist of a hair algae battle myself and the algae is winning. The natural methods of starving algae are not working for me right now.
