    I put a damsel and 1 emerald crab in my tank for the cycle.. They both made it.

    Thanks, I will get the mast test kit...

    And I do hope my lil hitchhikers make it...they are my only entertainment for a few weeks :)

    hehe. I saw this (I'm in Houston too). I started a reef group for North Houston 3reef Forums - Houston's Northside

    Didn't know if you meant Desert literally or not. It's pretty wet here. Hot, Humid, and Muggy. It's a pretty far drive for us before we hit desert :p

    Well I havent been to TX to much but im in AZ it is littlery but your welcome to join im more talking about tempeture its always over 100 here and like 50 at night

    Looking good!!;) Remember to keep the lights off while your cycling. I almost bought that same set up the other day, but didnt. Like I've said before, Im dying to set up an Octopus tank. Anyways, keep us posted with pics of course.;D Luna

    Add a yellow tailed Damsel or a chromie depending on who ya talk to...It is to help with the biological cycle process and it will offer a bit more entertainment for ya. : )

    I would add a YT damsel however I have read on here that if you get one...and you can't get it outta the tank it will limit what else you keep in there...and isn't it kinda like torture for them to go through the cycle...and for some reason I don't care for Chromis' very much...just not very colorful.

    And, Thanks LUNA!!! I had to get your view on things ;)

    As far as the lights are concerned...I have what I beleive to be a mushroom and I was leaving the light on for him...I know it can cause some unwanted algae...but I only have the MH and it doesn't have actinic lighting...
