I recently purchased a marine betta and am concerned on how to feed him. He spends most of his time in hiding. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best food for him, and how to deliver it? My tank is FOWLR at the moment (corals coming soon). His current tankmates are a cleaner wrasse, yellow tang, and a coral beauty, along with the standard cleanup crew...snails, crabs etc.

Welcome Chris! Feel free to join as membership is no cost, but does get you discounts with some of our awesome on-line sponsors.

    This is from LiveAquaria.com:

Marine Betta (Calloplesiops altivelis) - The Marine Betta is not commonly kept in a reef-style aquarium, but it is reported to be safe with corals and anemones, however, it will eat all small fish and shrimp.

When first introduced into a tank it is shy and may have difficulty feeding. Using live foods such as feeder fish or shrimp will help it adjust. Once acclimated, it can be fed meaty foods and frozen preparations 2-4 times weekly.  Check it out at the link below.

He's a carnivore, nocturnal, and even shy too boot...cool fish but very reclusive. I would try feeding him after the lights are out with some frozen meaty fair like krill mysis shrimp.
