Unfortunately not. Ive been reading that most saltwater tanks have ich and fish slowly gain immunity to it. I was hoping to minimize it with something like ich attack. I just have a feeling after quarantining the fish for 30 days as soon as they go back in or I add fish/coral they will get it again... What do you suggest?
    Thanks

    lotzoffish yes please help haha.
So i went and bought a quarantine tank. I wanted to use my DT water but wasnt sure if its safe with the ich. Do you recommend treating the fish with copper in the QT? I keep getting too many mixed answers.

    Hello,
I have replied to your pm. However, I want to be clear that there are some that claim success of defeating crypt with better fish health/water quality. There are also many that claim entire tank losses while attempting this method.
Please remember that even if you can't see it visually on the fish doen't mean that it is gone. Many (most) tanks host crypt to varying degrees, and that if your tank is near a "breaking point" that simply adding a new fish to the system can wreak havok on the balance (host/parasite relationship) and the crypt could come back with a vengance.

I always err on the side of caution; I have lost fish to treatements, though. Also, treatments kill everything in the water (fish and parasites alike), but the hope is to kill the parasites before the fish are killed.

Make sure to feed algae strips to boost his ammune system to beat the ick.if you do a fresh water dip do it under good lighting so you can see when he gets to stressed. If he does put him back in the tank quick. You have to keep him in the fresh water as long as he can take it to kill the parasites. Its scary but you'll see under good lighting use a led head lamp if you have one.
