Not sure if this is the correct place to post but thought people would find this interesting. Farewell From Marine Depot Live

I used to order form here every once in a while and always had a good experience - sad to see them go.

It's sad to see their live division fade away, but it is a hard business, especially with their stay alive guarantee. I'm sure there were people that abused that policy, either through not caring about the animals by not acclimating them, or by not knowing how to care for the animals properly. I bought a lion from them once that died after 5 days for no apparent reason. I called them and told them the gills looked red and enflamed, though my NH3 and NO3 were both zero. They didn't bat an eye to offer a replacement, but I told them no, it's not worth causing them a loss when it could be something in my tank. Besides that, I didn't want to risk another death. I'm sure they had plenty of customers that gladly accepted replacements. Those losses add up fast, business is business unfortunately. I'm glad their dry good divison is doing well. They actually had to move to a larger facility recently because business had grown so much. I don't think Marine Depot is going anywhere though, they are much too strong.
