I was looking at a Marineland Duetto 100 submersible filter today. Could I use one of those as a carbon pellet reactor? It looks like they take in water from the bottom and force it up through the filter and out the top. The filter foam can be removed and the housing could be filled with carbon pellets. They can flow up to 92 gph. Would this work for a 40 gallon reef system as a carbon reactor?

I think that is a great idea. It should work well.
