Marineland Stealth Heaters Silent Re-call/Refund?

I took mine to petsmart and they exchanged no questions asked, I didnt buy from petsmart either, bought it from petco but they had no issue giving me a replacement just ask for the fish guy he knew all about the recall

 

Well what exactly is the issue?

I have one running in my reef and it seems to keep the temp right where it should be...

I guess I'll check my temp constantly from now on?

 

Marineland is voluntarily recalling them because they have exploded in tanks.

 

So, PetSmart will exchange for what? Another, newer batch Stealth Pro?

 

Not sure, Im sure they will create a newer batch...

Fosters sub'ed two Fluvals M's for my 2 stealths.

 

I returned mine today without a receipt or box and they gave me store credit, I used it for carbon, a new net, and some food.

 

They gave me cash. I have a few heaters I replaced them with (saw a special on Jagers a while ago on DFS), so I didn't need the store credit for new heaters or anything.
