So you have to remove the whole skimmer from the sump to get to it?

Yeah I'll have to agree with you Capt Bill, it's working well after about a month without the worry of it leaking in the cabinet. One thing I've noticed is it makes you very aware of the water level in the sump. I've made a mark at 6.5" from the bottom of the outside of the sump. Another thing to consider is when you add anything to the tank like floating bags with new fish or coral, adding live rock & doing water changes. These can offset your water level in the sump. I'm very happy so far with my Marine pro 100.;D

I too have the marineland 100 but i have had alot of problems with it.
It takes 3-4 weeks to break in and during this time if i was doing a water change or feeding or put my hand in the tank it would stop skimmer for like 2 days:angry:. I also had a bad leak around the lock nut which could have been helping the problems above....not sure. Anyways i called marineland and told them about it so they sent me a new gasket and that did not work so they offer to replace it and i said i did not want to go though the whole break in process again. So they said they had one that was running on one of there tanks that had no problems with it and would send me that one;D and they even offer me the 300gal model but i told them i wasn't sure that would fit. Iam still wating on it and should get it in about 3 days. So overall i have had bad luck with the skimmer and good luck with the custmer service. I give updates if anyone would like. By the way here is a pic of the skimmer with a bad leak still working [IMG]
i hope this is a good sign!!!

I had the oppistie reaction from marineland! I thought they had no clue on the phone but I like the skimmer. I have talked to local reefers and think it worked good. the lfs I use the owner is great he asked allot of questions about this skimmer and even allowed me to try it with the option of return if I dident like it. I have liked it so far and dont see me returning it. I did call marineland about there new sump(very cool design) and they literally couldent answer my questions! I was mad nobody knows there about there product? I was ready to buy one all they had to do is say yeah its great best wet dry yet. I got from the rep ya I dont like reef tanks and would never have one and I wouldent use a wet dry so I cant tell you much. I asked her is someone could tell me about it and give me dimensions and she siad there wasent anyone else to talk to and had no clue the size! Wow huh!
