I had posted some pics of the skimmer working I am getting the right stuff out of it. I have had a leaking seal on the cover but its a slow leak I was just going to go get a seal for it and think I was not going to have an issue. I will talk to them again I will pm you about it I dont want it to leak. I will also get you the pics although I thought I posted them on this post. I am cleaning this cup every other day and its brown/black crud so I know its working. I tried to go a week with it to see where it went I cleaned a bit of creep off the body from a leak and the cup was very dirty! I know its working just not perfect with the leak.

I like the Mega Flow Wet/Dry from All Glass. It has three area's so you can use the center area for the heater and protein skimmer and have the advantage of the defuser sponge to kill all the bubbles before the water gets into the return sump. You can also use the final sump for a turbo twist UV sterilizer:)

I just got the Marineland Pro 100 Protein Skimmer. Just installed it today. For anyone who has it, can you let me know what the water level should be? Right now its at a level where the dry bubbles are forming probably an inch from the base of the collection cup neck. I know it takes some time to break it in but do you think I have the water level at the right point?

    Thanks for the heads-up, Marlinman.

Picked one up today at Barrier Reef for the $200 plus tax. Put it in my Megaflow 2 sump. Started getting an excellent head of froth almost immediately. Have a 60 gallon tank that's still in a start-up mode. There's plenty of dissolved organics in the water from my Marco Rock wall and aquascape, but no animals yet.

Was contemplating going with either the 300 Pro or an Octo Extreme 160 for $270. Glad I chose the 300 Pro.

Yes ....you may have to adjust the air nob just a little to the left or right so you can get the dry foam to rise up
