    hey all i just got the 48" 250 watt model and was wondering what setting to put my ballast on it has 150w 175w 250w and HQI setting which should it be on? oh and its the lumatek LK250 model. thanks all.

    Can some ballast use different bulbs in the same fixture? I thought even with the lower setting, it would still create the same amount of heat?(working on the same ballast for the 3 bulb settings) If that make sense?

    Maybe several settings so several bulbs can be used on the same fixture?

    Set the ballast to the bulb's rating.
