Maroon Clown question

    I have a maroon clown and he sifts the sand alot with his tail, does anybody know why he does this, I also have a diamond goby if that helps

    Is he shifting the sand in front of his host coral?

    They try to keep the area in front of there home clean

    Anemones you mean
    I have 7 anemones he dosn't do it in front of any specific one

    They will host other corals.

    ----He is probably just trying to keep the anemones clean.

    Sounds like territorial/nesting kind of behavior to me.
    7 anemones? WoW!
