So I'm thinking about adding a Maroon clownfish. In your opinion what would be the minimum tank size for one of these fellas? A guy at the fish store told me sometimes they only get to be three inches and sometimes six, depending on the size of your tank. Sounded kinda fishy to me (no pun intended). What do you guys think?

around 30 gallons would be my guess at a minimum size of the tank.
since there clowns they dont do alot of swimming.

with your size tank and what you have in it, I would go with a small mated pair of percs. Maroons in that size tank would (IMO) be big bullies. They are known for that anyway. The minimum size I would put a maroon is a 55, and that's with other fish who can take care of themselves.

well see, i am looking for at least a semi agressive fish b/c i keep reading that my springeri is going to bully anything I put in there, regardless of his size. I'm concerned that a pair of percs might not be agressive enough to hold their own.

I have a maroon also. He's fat, maybe around 4 inches now, aggressive with some of the other fish, moves corals and rocks around, flings sand all over... generally, he acts like a 3 year old on Mountain Dew! But, he doesn't roam the tank, so you could probably keep him in a small tank. I wouldn't trade him either, he has tons of personality.
