Thanks for the edjumacation ;-). I wasn't aware of the product, but it sounds OK.

Lucky for me, my 125g CL buy- while not a drilled/RR tank; came with a BUNCH of nice, porous base rock. Also alot of other- out dated equipment that I guess they were attempting to use.
MIne wadn't had water in over 3 years- so it was all dried base rock, Ooh, ooh, and a whole bunch of CC for the bed.
After the research I had done- I stayed with using the CC- it's actually like a coarse sand. Fish seem to like it OK.

Your DT is looking GREAT, nice community you have going on there.

Thanks Todd :) Its coming along, slowly but surely. I refuse to buy any colonies, so all of my corals start out as frags. So it will still be a couple years before it really starts to fill in. Worth it though!

    Good call.

Except for a few small softy colonies- basically evertyhing I have started with a small frag. Around here, lots of reefers selling and trading frags all the time- me included now. Everyone gets the most excited over my Blue Milli.
Next month- will be the 3 year mark from start up- bare bones/no livestrock/coral tank for me.

I could have kept my big three more stable as I started to get more coral load.
At first- I never tested them- stunted frowth for months. I currently have some big colonies of alot of things. I myself am starting to really enjoy my Reef Tank.
At my favorite lfs- I often bring in a lot of frags and they give me store credit which has saved me a LOT of cash.

Check those early, and enjoy your Reef!

Same hear Todd. I didn't test for the big 3 nearly enough until more recently. I finally got my dosing pumps online and they are all stable, so hoping I will start seeing some good growth soon.

Nice! Can I get a frag of that Meteor Shower Pintail Hybrid?! It is spectacular! :D

Nice H. iridis too. I am looking for one once I get my 120 set up.

    H. Iridis is a super chill cool fish. They always give a nice contrast of color to a tank!

Sure, but its the only one in the world, so the frag will cost you eleventy million $.

And thank you on the H. iridis. They are an under-appreciated fish IMO :)

Looks great marshall! I love the radiant wrasse. I was thinking about a mystery but I think I've reconsidered.
