Easy for you guys to say; meanwhile there are 4 children at my house during the day, a 7 month old, 15 month old (my baby/toddler), 3 year old and 5 year old. Makes it tough to get anything done!

Hah! I know better by now ;D Actually, my wife is the better person. I leave the house at 6:30AM and come home usually around 6:30PM, so I miss most of the fun :p My wife is a saint I tell you though...

Well still no new 'scape. Making the mesh tops took longer than I thought. So instead, you can just see how I hung my new lights:

And from the side (notice the new mesh tops; the middle did not come out quite like I wanted, but I made it so I can lift up the first 5" only for easy feeding):

I still need to spend a little more time getting them level, but not bad for now. I just used 1/2" EMT, bent it as shown, added polyproylene caps, spray painted them black, and then tied them all together using 1/4" slotted aluminum stock and two hole clips:

Then I just bolted the left and right most to the stand to keep it from moving one way or the other. Total cost was around $40 for all materials.

And finally, a FTS to make you look at my crappy 'scape:

So you have a few tanks going right? You have place to put some of the rock right?

I suck at scapes and I do not think yours is crappy, but I am going to throw a couple idea out there anyway.

The height of both structures (for lack of a better word) is nearly the same, so take some rocks off the top of one or the other. Basically I would remove about 1/4 of that rock. Either connect the two islands with an arch or use rubble on the bottom to bridge the gap. Make the ends of the mounds sloping.

Lastly disregard everything I posted above because again I suck at scapes.

And I need to get off my butt and hang my light correctly. You're way ahead of me on that one.
