The humidity fan is installed and my contractor donated a smaller bar sink to the cause. Now I can take back the wash tube and get some cash back. You can see it's future home in the photos. This will save space for the QT tank to go in the middle and the salt and top off water storage above. The top-off and salt water will be plumbed into the system for the auto-top-offs and faster WC's. All this and a little wiring work. The progress won't be so noticeable for a few days as we take care of a few little hurdles (e.g. wiring for security light on side of house, etc.).

    Insulation, Wall and Tank-Cam

The insulation is starting to go up in the tank room and we should be putting up sheetrock next week. Just a few odds and ends to take care of with electrical today.

The false wall studs are put up which will hide the old siding we uncovered during the demo. They took quite a few liberties on the addition to this house in the 70's that we had to repair along the way, the shoddy roofing, the buried and rotting posts, electrical, it goes on and on. The house was originally built in 1926 and the craftsmanship on that part of the house is head and shoulders above the 1970's addition. It should be all better now though thanks to a good friend and good contractor. As a freshwater buff himself, he has offered many great ideas along the way.

We also received our Logitec C920 tank-cam for streaming. It came highly recommended by the 3reefer, Arkaeus. I bought it from Amazon for $79 and the reviews were great. Seems it is a nice step up from the C910.

I'm thinking right now of a stream schedule of 6am to 3pm to avoid using too much data. I'd like to run it all day if I could and may adjust that. It will be nice to have the piece of mind to see the systems working while away from home. The tank-cam will be a nice companion to a tank-controller at some point down the road. I'm a controller-noob, so I still have much to learn about them.

Still doing some landscaping out front of the house as well and soon the back yard. Going to be planting this weekend. I wish it could be all about the fish right now. 8) (but the wife is not necessarily reef-safe and will drowned me in my tank if I don't get other stuff done) lol

Looking good. It's exciting when you get products in the mail, especially lights.

Now you just need to get that tank wet to enjoy them!
