APC, thanks for the pics. This is very similar to what we are doing. I don't want to see any tank framing or silicone from the outside so we are trimming that out. Great looking tank!

Thanks, Todd. Peer review is very important to me and it helps guide me to making sound decisions. Everyone's input has been amazing and instrumental!

    QT and WATER STATIONS

Photo #1 shows my sink, QT and water storage stations. Since we are getting down to the nitty gritty we have found some things we did not plan for.

    1) The QT tank is big so it blocks the outlets behind it. Solution is to put a cover plate on that box and paint it blue and move the outlet higher. A good plan anyway since you want it above the water line.

    2) The QT interferes with the Squid setup on the right hand side closed-loop. Solution is to mount the squid under the QT stand and use flex PVC up to downward 90's from the tank. No big deal.

Photo #2 shows my viewing and command station, I will have a laptop on this shelf and a camera mounted to the wall looking down the length of the tank. Eventually I am planning for a controller set-up, hooked to internet.

Plumbing is just about ready to start. I am still waiting on my Melev sump which is starting to concern me, but knowing his work and credibility he will come through soon.

Not feeling 100% today, but my contractor buddy is putting in some finishing touches before we start to plumb in a few days. Here is a staging table for the plumbing. This is gonna be fun.

Dave got my RO/DI hooked up for me. Ran it through for 45 minutes or so. PSI is in the green and we are getting about 3x waste to product. Tomorrow the storage tank plumbing starts and the valves to redirect product water to fresh or salt containers.

The containers will have a sight glass made of acrylic tubing and will be plumbed in for easy WC's and top-offs.

    RO/DI and CLOSED LOOP #1

The first 3 photos are of my RO/DI plumbing. We can split the product water off to fill either the salt or fresh water reservoirs. The waste water is plumbed down to drain in the sink.

Have about 60% of the plumbing done on Closed-loop #1 on the right hand side of the tank.

    :)

Still waiting on sump/fuge from Melev, so no plumbing underneath yet. :(

Marty, I know you're not going to leave that yellow colored waste water lint from the RO membrane on top of the sink like that, right?
Tap it into the drain underneath above the level of the trap.

We were going to just elbow it down into the corner of the sink. Is there an issue with doing it that way instead of tapping into the drain?

    Water test finally! :)

Here are some photos of my SCWD plumbing and a video of my SCWD on a closed-loop test.

The test went well. Tank held water, but two small leaks were found in my plumbing. Easy fixes though. The glued segments all held, but two tiny water drops appeared on my threaded plumbing in the pump area. Re-wrap and tighten this afternoon.
