I like the color on the damsel. I love 6 liners.

The six-line is a neat little fish. He's having a good time in the QT so far and is spending time swimming through every nook of the rock in there. :)

Thanks. Yes, it's moving along, but my melev sump is weeks overdue and I'm getting a little frustrated. He said it would ship last Friday , but haven't heard back yet. :(

UPDATE: My sump was picked up by fedex last night! :) I guess Marc has been very ill with migraines which kept him down and out for a while.

Vacuumed the QT out this morning and checked all parameters:

    1.026 sg
    78*
    0 amm
    0 trites
    .5 trates
    11.8 alk
    ph 8.2

Added salt to the DT last night since my sump is on the way and I checked it today at 1.024 sg, 77.8*. I will fine tune that after the sump is cranked up.

Since parameters are favorable, I brought two brothers home for my other bangghai. They are dripping now and should be ready soon. Dripping more than recommended since the store I buy from runs 1.022 sg.

So as of now I have my first round of QT fish set:

    Nick, Pygmy Angel
    John, Blue Sapphire Damsel
    Sonny, Six line wrasse
Djimi, DeAndre and Zach the Bangghai Cardinals

If they continue to eat well over the weekend, Cupramine treatment will commence on Monday.

Fish will be off the cupramine June 3rd and out of lock-up on June 18th.

Water babies in QT having breakfast. Everyone eating, active, alert and bright. Going forward with day one of Cupramine tomorrow.

    All parameters still looking great.

Started my Cupramine into my QT last night. Put 48 drops into a shot glass and then dribbled into my filter stream. Currently running no carbon.

Here is how everything tested out today:

Day 3 QT, Day 1 Cupramine

    1.0265 sg (added some ro/di top-off)
    78*
    0 Amm
    0 Trites
    .2 Trates
    11.5 Alk
    8.2 PH

Cupramine was testing a little under the .5 dosage advised, so I added three drops and will test again tomorrow.

I'm feeling sort of confused right now about the condition of my Six-line Wrasse. He was out swimming yesterday, no problem, but he did not come out of his rock den for the night time feeding. The piece of rock I have has a deep cave in it and the wrasse has claimed it as his. It was odd, but I didn't really think too much about it until this morning's feeding time. The wrasse was laying down under the rock shelf not moving. I thought he was a goner. I took the tongs and moved the rock a little, he righted himself and swam to another area up against the rock. He did not feed. All parameters are beautiful and other fish seem alert and are feeding well. I will monitor the situation. Could he be reacting poorly to Cupramine?

Yes, copper treatments can be pretty tough on wrasses.
