Good to know. Although I was more concerned with copper not staying in solution because of the rock vs. having the rock absorb it.

Well, it has been a while since my last update. We are still waiting on my replacement sump to be finished, so all fish are still in QT until I get the DT set-up totally. All parameters have been looking good, but my nitrates where getting up there so I did a 20% water change in the QT. The remaining fish are all looking healthy. No signs of parasites and they are all big eaters.

The display side of the main tank has been getting some work done as well. All drywall is now up, room is painted, carpets go in today. The big reveal will happen after we get the trim up, so sometime mid to late week.

We also relandscaped the back yard and moved in 8 yards of gravel one barrow at a time. :( Not quite enough so 4 more yards orcered today.

After the daughters graduation party next Saturday I am taking 2 weeks off from any physical labor. lol

Work on the display-side continues while I wait for my replacement sump. Trim should be finished today and the trim around the DT will be painted. Entertainment center you be finished today. We will still need to build the insert for the peripherals below the tv (see opening below TV).

I love the wall color you have in that room. What is the insert for the peripherals?

Thanks. The insert will go under the TV and is basically a little cabinet to put the cable box and blu-ray player on. It will slide into and nest in the hole and I can pull it out for maintenance. It's going to be custom built to fit and trimmed out to hide gaps.

Thanks. No ETA yet, he told me that last week that he was waiting on acrylic order so imagine it won't be too much longer. Of course then I will have to wait for another week for shipping. :( Right now I'm guessing about two more weeks.

    Thanks.

Received Reggie (PBT) from LiveAquaria on Saturday morning. I cracked the lid for about 15 minutes to let his eyes adjust then I put him on a drip for an hour. Into the QT he went and he's eating and doing fine. He's been on cupramine since Monday evening and is showing no signs of stress. The other 5 fish I was QTing are now in the display. Still no Sump from Melev, though. Ordered in February, received broken in the end of May and still waiting for the replacement. :( Fish are fine though, running a cannister as temporary with carbon and UV for an algae bloom and a hang on skimmer until sump arrives.

Beautiful Fish! Sorry to hear about your sump...that is very frustrating. You are much more patient than I am :)

yes, congrats on an apparently very healthy specimen :) Here's some karma for you that your sump comes very soon!
