    Thanks.

Still battling the problem algae, but I am starting to gain ground. I started a three day cycle of running just moon lights and have changed my gfo media. Just the one day so far of moon lights the algae is starting to come loose. I've been plucking it out and pulling it off the rocks as best as I can. I also did a 20 gallon water change while changing media and cleaning skimmer.

My remaining stock after that still mystery die off are doing fine. Chromises, diamond goby, star fish, crabs and snails all doing great.

Between the algae war, camping and other projects I've been far too busy lately. :(

Thanks. :) It's really coming loose now. I've been scooping out bunches from the top. :)

Caught a video of one of my hermits checking out a potential new home.

Also, I am winning the algae war, but the fight continues. A few trouble spos left, but with WC's and GFO I am getting the upper hand!

After a few unexplained die offs a few months ago I was seriously questioning my skills, but I stayed with it and the tank is running very good these last few months. All inhabitants are healthy happy and bright.

Hi, it's been away for a while. The tank is still humming along and running nicely. I spent a few months getting into freshwater planted tanks, but decided to refocus my efforts on my reef. I've purchased an Apex Gold controller and two MP40's to go with it (ditching the closed loops) . I will be getting them in about a week and getting everything set-up. I will post my upgrades here. Still getting algae and winning battles here and there, but losing the war. Going to upgrade my 20 gallon salt mixing container to a 44 gallon, also going to switch to high capacity gfo in my reactor. Going to reinvent my top off system as well. It's an exciting few weeks for me coming up. I'll keep everyone posted. Also I'm going to put in a webcam so I can view and control my tank from abroad. See ya.

Welcome back! Excited to see the upcoming changes. On a side note - I am not very technical when it comes to networking, etc. So I ended up using a dropcam for my tank webcam, and I am really happy with it. It hooks up really easily, you don't need to worry about IP addresses changing, it works with windows and most importantly to me with mac (imac and iphone compatible) and it gives a pretty good picture. If you are good at computers, there are better IP based cameras out there - but if you are like me - take a look at the dropcam.

Thanks. I am out of the country, but all my new equipment should arrive today at home. Excited to fly home tomorrow and get cracking!
