I hope so. The good thing about sharing a time consuming build is that if I am making a major mistake someone can usually spot it early. Peer review is always critical for success, IMO. And hopefully I can pay it back once I've learned. :)

Brute Cans, Dart Hybrid Plumbing and wash basin...

Did a little shopping tonight for my top-off and WC containers and also bought some plumbing for my dart hybrid pump so I can get some dry fit measurements.

    Some tips...
Don't forget the swing check valves for your return pump lines. Don't use the ones from lowes or HD. Most of them have metal in them. I've had to lock shut. I would order those on line.

    On your CL's...
I strongy recommend double union ball valves on BOTH the sides of the pump, or at least a union and ball valve on each side.

    Awesome tips!

I had planned on a ball valve on both sides of CL pumps, but did not think to double union these. Good idea.

Check valves will also be in the plan.

    Thanks!

Same thing. Kinda neat that its just one unit. Kinda expensive though. 25-35 a valve. Not a must.

I don't think so. 1 is good. Especially if your going double union and can be easily replaced. On my first series of tanks, I was lazy and hard plumbed everything. Lol learned the hard way.

It all boils down to how clean you can make your plumbing look and how easily everything can be replaced if something breaks by properly placing unions and ball valves. Don't over complicate it.

Just make sure that if the check valve ever failed, your sump can hold all of the water. I run a check valve on my return line as well, but have a couple inches to spare if it ever failed :) Also, if you have this close to the pump, you won't need a union on the return side since you are getting a true union check valve. Just to save you some $$.
