I really want a partner for my maroon clownfish he/She is about 3 inch's....i know they are the most aggressive clown...but if i would go to the LFS and pick up a small maroon...(smaller then mine atm) how would that go? Is thier any indication if the one i have is a male or female?

Depends on how old it is. A single clown will always go female in time. As for getting a smaller one, I have done this with percs with success. Not sure about maroons though.

Yeah, def ask how long it's been by itself. Or if you can find one in a group and is small, then get that one. You know that the pairing process for clowns can get pretty violent?
