Hey guys, need some imput... a few weeks ago i found what i thought was a smaller crab hiding in my LR. This was about 2 weeks after i got my emerald crabs. Yesterday, i saw him again and he has about doubled in size and has a little trouble hiding where he used to... did one of my emerald crabs bring a little one with it? I dont understand the crab mating process but it is definately a small emerald crab and i only bought 2... now have 3 that i can see... anyone have any info pour moi?

is it possible it came with your live rock? I would imagine that you would see a few around the place if they had mated

If your crabs mated, it's not likely that their offspring would live without alot of special treatment so I'm going with the hitchhiking theory.

Often time we have living animals that we may never see. Plus many organisms tag along on corals and live rock as hitchhikers.

Hatching is not the hard part. It's raising the fry that's difficult if not impossible.
