Here is an update from today:

Tank is doing great at the new apartment - I credit this to moving all corals down a few inches in this shallow tank, changing to Red Sea Coral Pro salt, adding a vortech MP10 and staying up on my bi-monthly water changes (10 gallons - 33% - and no dosing anymore!)... corals are really growing now. Cool to see...

Tuxedo urchin was a dud that lasted only a week in the old place. Never moved much. Should have bought the bigger active one.

Really nice! Everything looks healthy and colorful! :D
What's that neon yellowish coral that you have there? ( plate coral?)

Looking good Matt. Love the birds nest. It's your signature coral. (you have it in every tank)

tank looks sweet buddy! love the flourescent green fungia, i just picked up a flourescent orange myself. would love a green like yours to put next to it.

how do you like the MP10? and what mode have you got yours dialed into? i actually got one as a christmas present. still playing with it. had it on reefcrest for a while but i kinda like the long pulse mode.

    Thanks J - Aye - love me some bird's nest. :)

Me too! Occasionally I feed it formula if the shrimp lets me. Cool coral.

Love the MP10 - I have mine on lagoon and change to reef crest for a couple hours in the after noon. When our washer is going in the house I turn on the nutrient transport mode. I'll try out the long pulse!

wait, what? NTM when the washer (washing machine right?) is on? Matt please explain you lost me here.

try long pulse you may like it. it acts like a surging wave that moves in then out with a 3 or 4 second break where corals sort of just sway slowly and stagnant then whooosh! the surge comes. whats cool is that you can choose the frequency of the wave to give a short break or long break between waves.

I've made my tank so quiet that the repetitive 'whir whir whir' in that mode bugs us a bit when sitting next to the tank - so I sneak it in now. Pulse sounds cool - I will try it thanks.

Thank you! That move was hell. Glad it is over.
