    Yeah I will run it 24/7 - I like the concept of only running it for half a day or so but can never get around start up issues and calibration. I think it is just easier to run all the time and probably helps the ATO too.

    Thanks Steve - yeah the fine sand was flying all over the place. This tank is less than 12" from the water surface to the sand - combine that with a tunze on a controller and you have a serious mess. I actually prefer the sand I have now. To me it is the right size for gas exchange and will not pack like the fine stuff did in my last tank in some spots.

    Thats a sweet looking tank Matt. I run the 90 gpd pro plus from Spectrapure and I love it! That unit is a workhorse for me. Sick looking tank and the sump is really clean looking. Mine looks like an octopus of cords under it. :cry:
